Adoptions & Available Litters

Here at Pocket Pines, litters are planned in advance and bred with intention. Babies remain with their mothers until they are developmentally ready to leave, and all potential adopters will be asked to fill out an application answering basic questions regarding their housing, diet and current ownership situation with rats to ensure a good fit.

Most of our rats go to adopters who have registered on our wait-list in advance, but in the rare case that a pair becomes publicly available they will be posted here.

All of our rats receive a dose of moxidectin before leaving for their new homes as a preventative measure against lice and mites. This treatment is safe, widely used, and helps ensure your new companions start their lives with you happy, healthy, and itch-free.

We believe in being proactive rather than reactive—especially when it comes to common parasites. Our approach minimizes risk while maintaining the comfort and wellbeing of every rat in our care.

If you have questions about our health protocols or ongoing care recommendations, we're always happy to share our methods and support adopters long after pickup.
